I know. Well-earned wrinkles make my statue as a crone visible. I am no longer hidden. For that I am truly grateful. It’s time. I am owning the gifts that I bring and the powerful, protective energy sustaining them.
You are safe here. Of course, you may find it challenging to venture with me as we wander into dreams for deeper meaning, enter the woods and muse about nature, pass through the threshold into the imaginal space of poetry, or as we attempt to see through the eyes of our animal companions or favorite stand of trees. My Irish grandmother, for whom I was named, would be proud. I’ve continued the tradition of other familial highly sensitive persons (HSPs). I am a deep listener and a guide in my work with individuals and groups. I easily tune into the energy of others and allow my intuition to lead.
Oh. And, because we are getting to know each other, I’ll mention that I received a Master’s degree and obtained certifications listed below. While we're at it, I’d love for you to read my book entitled Soul’s Homecoming, An Empath’s Journey to Inner Wisdom. But then, these are just things I did, not necessarily who I am.
​The takeaway is that I am an explorer and a seeker. It’s embedded in my nature to use intuition while I help others find their own guidance system. I do this as an inner wisdom wayfinder, a dreamworker, and a story doula.

BACKGROUND
My appetite for answers and connection to this big, mystical world led me to study Religious Studies, English, and Microbiology before earning a Master's degree from Fordham University in Religion and Religious Education.
​
In my travels, I explored and experienced many spiritualities. Along the way I obtained essential certifications for my work such as — 2 years Spiritual Director training, 4 years Dreamwork training from The Haden Institute and Steven Aizenstat's Dream Tending Program, Martha Beck Coach training, as well as comprehensive Reiki I/II training.

I raised four wonderful children (they are treasures) and enjoyed a career in fundraising for various cultural arts institutions which supported education and nurturing opportunities for patrons all around the world. In 2015, when I found myself at the Smithsonian, I thought I'd reached the height of my professional fulfillment.
But something inside of me knew better, and it called out to me. I began to re-imagine parts of my being and spirit, and discovered what I already knew deep inside that my superpower is deep listening. I decided to own my natural ability to see with a mystical inner eye in service of others.

In 2021, I published my book through Balboa Press entitled Soul’s Homecoming, An Empath’s Journey to Inner Wisdom.

APPROACH
Your initial complimentary session will help set the course for our time together. We'll discuss where you are and where you're hoping to go. I'll give some background on how I conduct the sessions. Then off we go.

The experience is very much like a soul's homecoming. I believe your inner ground is sacred. It's unique and special to you. I love listening to stories and I'm very interested in hearing yours. What I do best is deep listen as you connect to your thoughts and dreams. Along the way we'll discover what's holding you back and work on dissolving those unhelpful beliefs.

Your body is a critical compass giving messages and directions about next steps. Equally important are your dreams - both night time and waking dreams. We have the opportunity to explore these as we talk about your story.

It's all about you as we see the patterns and symbols that emerge. Are you interested in dreaming about and (re)creating a life that may have taken a back seat?

Katharine upholds ethical standards in her approach. Confidentiality, respect and acceptance are hallmarks of her work. She continues to do her own inner work while staying current with trends in her field. Her ethical code of conduct is informed by active memberships with Spiritual Directors International (SDI) and the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD) organizations.
